First Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child should visit a pediatric dentist by age one. The most important reason is to begin a through prevention program. Dental problems can begin early. The earlier the dental visit, the better the chance of preventing dental problems.

You should prepare your child for a positive experience.  You can tell your child that the doctor is going to brush your teeth and count them and also he is going to take some pictures. You should avoid using words that might cause anxiety such as “needle,” “shot,” “pull,” “drill,” or “hurt.”

Being a pediatric office we have a special way of explaining the work that we are doing to minimize the fear of your child.
